Bildmuseet reopened its doors for visitors on 13 May after being temporarily closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Onsite visitors are welcome Thursdays to Sundays, and online visitors can join guided tours on Wednesdays.
–We are so glad to be able to once again meet our visitors. We all need art and culture to feed our minds, to challenge and provoke thoughts, and to help us reflect upon our lives, says Museum Director Katarina Pierre.
In January 2021, the Swedish government decided on new regulations regarding the coronavirus pandemic allowing museums to reopen, with restrictions to ensure the visitors' safety. Bildmuseet's exhibition halls are large and airy, but to further minimize the risk of the spread of Covid-19, we have adapted our operations. In order for you to feel safe during your visit, we take precautionary measures.
