UMEÅ ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS / OF LOVE AND CARE
This year’s degree show from the Umeå Academy of Fine Arts at Umeå University presents works by Christian Abrahamsson, Amanda Angeli Blombäck, Time Bohlin, Renan De Menezes Anan, Elna Dani Liljedahl, Joanne Löfling, Måns Palmberg, Sofia Tien, Fanny Åberg and Tin Åling, all of whom are graduating from the master’s programme at the Umeå Academy of Fine Arts. Curator and principal supervisor is artist Maria Lantz.
TOP TEN BABIES
The band was born at Umeå Academy of Fine Arts in the spring of 2021 and has since grown into a stage act that truly makes an impact. Since then, they have performed frequently both in Umeå and across the country — at clubs, theatres, and even game shows. With one album already released and a new EP on the way, the band continues to develop its unique sound. Expect a visual and musical chaos.
AMON
Amon is coming to Bildmuseet with strong influences from dub, trip-hop, jungle, house, and techno in many different shades. Expect everything from mellow tracks that set the mood early to four-on-the-floor beats and higher tempos toward the end.
JÄTTEN
Jätten is a veteran in the electronic music scene in Umeå. As a co-founder of Liquid Sky and active in Hip-Hop i Norrland, he moves freely between genres. Expect a playful mix of funk, boom bap, dub, jungle, house, electro, and rave, a boundaryless journey through sounds, places, and times.
