Carin Ellberg

1998-06-07 to 1998-08-23

Carin Ellberg could be described as a contemporary surrealist. Subject matter as well as materials are mostly wrought from domestic and vernacular culture. Furniture, interior details, nylon stockings, used clothes. But in the artistic process all is changed, modified, transposed.

The Never Ending Story is a wallsize work of glued stockings, laid out in a complex decorative pattern. Pillars brings pieces of used clothing together, in a spiralled form reaching for the ceiling.
